ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - After the allotment of reserved seats, the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) has become the largest party in the National Assembly with 123 seats.
The PML-N won 75 seats, nine independents joined it while 34 reserved seats for women and five minority seats were later given to it by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The PTI-backed Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has 82 seats in the assembly. According to the ECP decision, the SIC is not eligible to get the reserved seats.
The total number of members of the People's Party (PPP) rose to 73 after the ECP awarded it 16 reserved seats for women and three seats of minorities. The party had won 54 general seats in the February 8 elections.
The total number of members of MQM-Pakistan is 22 -17 general seats, four women's and one minority seat.
Meanwhile, the total number of members of JUI-F became 11. It got six general seats, four women, and one minority seat.
The Muslim League-Quaid's (PML-Q) number has risen to five - four general seats and one reserved seat for woman. The IPP won three general seats out of four members, one seat was given to a woman. Also, the Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM), Muslim League-Zia, BAP, BNP, National Party and PkMAP have one seat each.
There are eight independent members in the National Assembly. Moreover, the election was not held in one NA constituency, while the notification of one seat has been withheld.
