ISLAMABAD (Dunya New) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday nominated Amir Dogar as the party’s candidate for the National Assembly speaker.
The decision was announced by the PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan while talking to media after meeting the PTI founder in jail.
The party also fielded Junaid Akbar as deputy speaker candidate.
Ayub said that the PTI and other political parties to hold protest demonstrations on March 2 against the alleged rigging in the general elections 2024.
Ayub said the PTI founder termed the recent polls 'unprecedented rigged elections'.

"People’s mandate has been stolen. We will protest in the courts and assemblies as the people gave us the mandate to form the government. We are fighting for the truth as we have won the election as the Form-45," the PTI leader said.
