IHC shows displeasure over multiple cases against Sheikh Rashid

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday showed displeasure over the Sindh police for registering a case against Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid.
The court sought report from the IG Sindh, prosecutor general Sindh and SSP Keamari over the petition of Sheikh Rashid already moved in the IHC.
Earlier, the veteran politician had moved a petition in the IHC against the launching of multiple cases on same allegation.
Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of Islamabad High Court conducted the hearing of case.
Sheikh Rashid appeared before the court with his counsel Advocate Sardar Abdul Razaq.

A DSP of Sindh police also appeared before the court and submitted the report of case registered with the Mochko police station.
“Is the report prepared after consulting IG and SSP,” the court questioned.
The court showed displeasure on the report and directed the IG Sindh, prosecutor general Sindh and SSP Keamari to submit a detailed report within next two weeks.

“The contempt of court will be initiated against all the officers if orders are not implemented,” warned the court before adjourning the hearing for two weeks.
