ISLAMABAD (APP) – The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned hearing on review petitions pertaining to the Faizabad sit-in case, for a period of one month.
According to details, a three-member bench of the top court headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa conducted the proceedings.
During Monday’s hearing, Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) Mansoor Usman Awan informed the court that the government had given two months’ time to the inquiry commission to conclude its work regarding the sit-in.
He stated that the government had extended the timeline till February 14.
Upon this, CJP Isa remarked that then, the case would be heard after the said date.
The court noted that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had submitted its report pertaining to the execution of judgment in the Faizabad sit-in case. It added that the report would be examined on the next hearing.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing for one month.
