Nepra further jacks up power tariff

The additional charges will not be applied to K Electric.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has further increased the price of electricity per unit.
Nepra has increased the price of electricity by 46 paise per unit under the quarterly fuel price adjustment and has shared its decision with the federal government in which it is said the electricity consumers will have to make additional payments in three months.
According to the statement, due to the increase in the cost of electricity, there will be an additional burden of more than 15 billion 45 crore rupees on the consumers. However, the additional charges will not be applied to K Electric.
