Rupee falls by 10 paisa against USD

The greenback closed at Rs161.33
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar strengthened by 10 paisa in the interbank on Tuesday against Pakistani rupee. The greenback closed at Rs161.33 on second business day of the week compared to previous closing of Rs151.23.
Since start of July, dollar has risen by Rs3.46. However, the greenback has lost 7.1 rupees or 4.31 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.
Meanwhile, the price of euro appreciated by 8 paisa and closed at Rs189.95 against the last working day’s trading of Rs189.87 the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.47, whereas an increase of 36 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs222.30 as compared to its last closing of Rs221.94.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal appreciated by about 3 paisa each to close at Rs43.92 and Rs43.02 respectively.
