Pakistan reports 140 deaths by coronavirus, 4,298 new cases in 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan has reported 140 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 850,131. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 18,677 on Friday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 4,298 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Punjab remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic both in terms of cases as well as deaths followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Till now 314,517 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 289,646 in Sindh, 122,520 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 23,016 in Balochistan, 77,414 in Islamabad, 17,660 in Azad Kashmir and 5,358 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore, 8,891 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,698 in Sindh, 3,537 in KP, 243 in Balochistan, 702 in Islamabad, 499 in Azad Kashmir and 107 in GB.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 12,101,832 coronavirus tests and 44,846 in the last 24 hours. 747,755 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 5,177 patients are in critical condition.
