ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved to challenge ECP’s decision to hold re-election in the entire NA-75 constituency of Daska.

According to details, Usman Dar met Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss the decision of the Election Commission on NA-75 by-elections. The Prime Minister approved to challenge the decision of the Election Commission during the meeting.

Imran Khan directed Usman Dar and the legal team to approach the court.

Earlier the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had decided to file an appeal against the decision of the ECP to hold re-election in the entire NA-75 constituency of Daska.

According to sources, PTI candidate from NA-75 Ali Asjad Malhi will file an appeal against the decision of the Election Commission.

It may be recalled that the Election Commission of Pakistan has declared NA-75 Daska by-election null and void and decided to hold re-election on March 18.

A statement issued by Punjab Chief Minister s Special Assistant Firdous Ashiq Awan said, "We respect the decision of the Election Commission. However, the PTI has the right to take legal action and the decision of appeal will be taken after consultation with the party members."
