JI leader Hafiz Salman Butt passes away at age 65

Hafiz Salman Butt's funeral prayers will be offered today (Friday) in Mansoorah at 2:00pm.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader and former Member National Assembly (MNA) Hafiz Salman Butt passed away in Lahore on Thursday at age 65, Dunya News reported.
Hafiz Salman Butt was under treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Lahore, after suffering a heart attack, where he breathed his last on Thursday.
During his student days, Hafiz Salman Butt remained associated with Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba Pakistan, and was the Nazim of Punjab University and Punjab province. He also remained president of president of Railway Prem Union for a long time.
Hafiz Salman Butt s funeral prayers will be offered today (Friday) in Mansoorah after Jumma prayers at 2:00pm.
