Four people killed over property dispute in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Four people, including two brothers and a sister, were killed in a bloody clash over a property dispute in Kallar Syedan area on the outskirts of Rawalpindi. All four were shot dead by their cousin.
According to police, eight people were seriously injured in the incident, which took place in Smote area near Kallar Syedan. The victims include Mohammad Zarin, Ansar Iqbal and two women, Sura Bibi and Ruqayya Bibi.
Police say the injured include Muhammad Hassan, Mazhar Hussain, Muhammad Wasiq, Mehboob Khan, Zamrud Iqbal, Zebunnisa and Rafzan Bibi. The bodies and injured were shifted to the hospital.
According to initial police investigation, the two sides had a heated argument over the construction of a wall. The two sides are said to be relatives and neighbors as well.
Fear and panic spread in the area after the shooting but police arrived at the scene two hours late, despite timely notification.
