Punjab govt decides to establish int'l standard bus station in Lahore

Similar terminals will be constructed in Multan and Faisalabad: Usman Buzdar
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has given in-principle approval for establishment of international standard bus terminal in Lahore.
As per details, Usman Buzdar has given deadline of December 10 to concerned officials for presenting design of the new terminal, which will be constructed new Thokar Niaz Baig.
Usman Buzdar also announced that similar terminals will also be constructed in Multan and Faisalabad while green electric busses are being introduced in major cities including Lahore.
CM Punjab directed to take necessary steps for purchasing of the buses and warned that any compromise on quality will not be tolerated. Complete process should be transparent and follow all set rules and regulations, he stressed.
He also said that with electric buses, environmental pollution and smog will be reduced.
Usman Buzdar also approved in-principle establishment of Punjab Road Safety Authority and formed a committee to improve performance of Punjab Mass Transit Authority
