Sugar prices continue to soar across the country
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Sugar prices continue to rise across the country, with it being the most expensive in Islamabad and the cheapest in Sargodha.
In a report released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, sugar has gone up to Rs 100 per kg in 9 out of 17 major cities of the country, while the average price of sugar has gone up to Rs 97.62 per kg.
According to PBS, the highest price of sugar in the country is Rs 110 per kg in Islamabad while the minimum price is Rs 95 per kg in Sargodha.
Moreover, the rate of sugar is Rs 105 per kg in Peshawar and Rs 100 per kg in Karachi, Larkana, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sialkot, Bahawalpur and Quetta.
Lastly, the price is Rs 98 in Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Bannu and Rs 95 in Sargodha and Khuzdar.
