IHC declares Nawaz Sharif wanted, orders to publish advertisement in newspaper
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wanted and ordered to publish an advertisement in the newspapers. He has been warned that if he does not appear within 30 days, he will be declared a fugitive.
According to details, appeals against the sentence of Nawaz Sharif were heard in the Islamabad High Court in Avenfield and Al-Azizia reference. The testimony of three witnesses was recorded to declare the former Prime Minister a fugitive.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials, while requesting that Nawaz Sharif be declared a fugitive, said that the evidence has been recorded, the former prime minister is a fugitive and is wanted by the court, he should be advertised in the newspapers.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the issuance of an advertisement for Nawaz Sharif s summons, saying that it should be published in newspapers while advertisements should be placed at the residence of the former prime minister.
The court ordered that advertisement should be published in both English and Urdu newspapers. It should also be published in newspapers published in the United Kingdom. The entire cost of Nawaz Sharif s wanted advertisement will be paid by the federal government.
The Islamabad High Court ordered that Nawaz Sharif has an opportunity to appear within 30 days after the advertisement. If he does not appear within the stipulated time, he will be declared as fugitive. The court directed the federal government to submit the advertisement expenses to the court within two days.
