Corps Commander attack: SHC acquits two accused, upholds death rows of nine convicts

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday has announced verdict of a case pertaining to attack on Corps Commander Lieutenant General Ahsan Saleem Hayat. According to details, the court has acquitted two accused and upheld death sentences of nine convicts.

It is to be mentioned here that on June 11, 2004, terrorists of banned outfit attacked a convoy of patrolling Corps Commander near Karachi’s Clifton Bridge.

At least six officers embraced martyrdom in the incident.
