Imam-e-Kaaba Dr Abdullah to address 'Ulema Convention' today

A large number of people thronged the iconic Islamabad mosque to offer Friday prayer behind him.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Imam-e-Kaaba Dr Sheikh Abdullah Awad Al Juhany – who had arrived in Islamabad on Thursday on a five-day visit – will address an ‘Ulema Convention’ on Saturday (today).

He is also scheduled to meet Pakistani leadership in Islamabad to express solidarity with Pakistan.

The Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Abdullah Awad Al-Juhany will lead prayers at historical Badshahi Masjid in Lahore during his visit to Punjab’s capital.

Yesterday, he led Friday prayers at Faisal Mosque where he said that Islam preaches peace, love and harmony. Dr Abdullah also said that Islam stands for brotherhood and it lays great emphasis on the rights of the people.

On the occasion, special prayers were offered for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan and the entire Muslim Ummah.

The Makkah’s Grand Imam also addressed the “Youth and Contemporary Challenges” seminar at the International Islamic University’s Faisal Mosque campus after the leading the Friday prayer.
