PM Imran Khan chairs meeting of National Security Council

The meeting will review country's security situation following Pulwama attack.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan is presiding over a high-level meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) in Islamabad, Dunya News reported.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa met PM Khan ahead of the NFC meeting to examine the country’s overall security situation.

According to details, the NSC meeting will review the overall security situation of the country following Pulwama attack in Indian-occupied Kashmir and Kulbhushan Jasdhav case.

NSC session will be attended by Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee, chiefs of all three armed forces, heads of intelligence agencies, security officials, defence minister, foreign minister, information minister, finance minister and state minister for interior.

Sources said that the Foreign Office officials will brief the members about proceedings of Kulbhushan Jadhav case at International Court of Justice (ICJ).

Furthermore, the meeting will analyse Pakistan s role in Afghanistan peace process and negotiations.

The meeting will discuss the recently-concluded visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan and Indian atrocities in occupied-Kashmir.
