PAF training aircraft crashes in Mastung

MUSTUNG (Dunya News) – An aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) crashed on Wednesday near Mastung in Balochistan, the spokesperson Pakistan Army Force (PAF) confirmed the news reporting.

According to details, the F-7PG aircraft was on a routine training mission at the time of the incident. The pilot of the aircraft martyred in the incident.

A board of inquiry has been ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of the crash, the PAF statement added.

F-7PGs were first inducted into the PAF in 2002 as a replacement for the F-6, which were then decommissioned. The PAF had previously operated F-7Ps.

The PAF has more than 50 of the Chinese-made aircraft in its fleet. The PAF is to replace its entire F-7 fleet with the JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft.
