PM Office seeks suggestions over exemption in income tax for special persons, widows

Recommendation are also sought to exempt salaries of all widows government employees from income tax

ISLAMABAD (APP): The Prime Minister Office Friday directed the Commerce Ministry and Federal Board of Revenue to submit their recommendations within 30 days about giving exemption in duties and income tax in imports of wheel chairs and artificial body parts for special persons and widows government employees. According to a press release issued here, the Prime Minister Office took the action on a complaint  of a poor citizen of a backward area of Punjab and sought recommendations in the following sectors. All the things under the use of disabled persons i.e. wheel chairs and artificial body parts should be declared duty free, exemption in income tax to all special persons of government sector and those who are suffering from a severe disability. Recommendation are also sought to exempt salaries of all widows government employees from income tax. Pakistan Citizen Portal, established on the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan, was not only playing its role to resolve people’s complaints but is also becoming helpful to implement recommendations received from the public.
