Aleem Khan declares OMT a white elephant

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Senior Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Tuesday said that Rs300 billion have been wasted on a project that has never been demanded by anyone.
Lashing out at the cleanliness of the city during at a joint meeting held by the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) and Turkish Company, he gave two week’s time to concerned officials.
He warned all zonal officials to improve their performance or be ready to go home.
The minister said that they were not satisfied with the cleanliness system despite spending billions of rupees, adding that the results are yet to be delivered the change for which masses gave PTI mandate.
Khan went on to say that the Orange Line Metro Train (OMT) project has become a white elephant and it is difficult to survive with it.
