PFA seizes over 3m rotten eggs from cold storages in Lahore

The cold storages have been said to supply the rotten eggs to biscuit factories to in Lahore.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – In its recent operation Punjab Food Authority (PFA) team of vigilance cell and officials on Friday conducted a raid at two cold storages located in Salamatpura locality and recovered over 3 million rotten chicken eggs from both the premises.
The cold storages have been said to supply the rotten eggs to biscuit factories in Lahore.
The team led by PFA DG Noor ul Amin Mengal raided the cold stores and performed a test on the eggs. On finding eggs expired the PFA team seized the rotten edible and disposed them of on the spot.
The DG Mengal has also slapped a fine of Rs.0.1m each on the storage owners.
