Asif Ali Zardari could not appear due to his engagements during Presidential elections
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The banking court on Tuesday resumed hearing of the money laundering case against Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, party leader Faryal Talpur and others.
In today’s proceedings, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Faryal Talpur and others appeared before the court, however, former president Asif Ali Zardari could not appear due to his engagements during Presidential elections.
Hussain Lawai also appeared before the court on wheelchair.
The counsel of the PPP co-chairman filed a petition seeking exemption from personal appearance citing his engagements during Presidential elections, which the court accepted.
Later, the court while extending the pre-arrest bail of the accused, adjourned the hearing till September 25.
