PML-N has submitted adjournment motion in the National Assembly against hike in power tariff.

Pakistan Muslim League (N), the largest opposition party, on Thursday submitted adjournment motion against government’s recent move to increase electricity tariff by 16-46 percent.The motion says there always is an increase in the name of inexplicable fuel price adjustment plan to cover country’s budget deficit.Government has brought miseries to the lives of poor by implementing such policies, the motion stated.The motion also highlighted a report published by State Bank which revealed country’s economic instability and uncontrollable surge in the inflation rate. Still, incumbent rulers are ignoring plight of the poor and only engaged in their personal interests.Opposition urged the house to open debate over the matter for relief of the masses.
