No consultation made on foreign policy: Nisar

Opposition Leader Ch Nisar has said that the government never consulted on foreign policy.

Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Tuesday said his party needs some time to review the recommendations put forward by Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS).It should be mentioned here that the PCNS chaired by Senator Mian Raza Rabbani tabled recommendations in perspective of Pak-US relations in the wake of Mohmand attack by the US forces stationed in Afghanistan on November 25.Speaking at the joint session of the Parliament, Ch Nisar said his party will not allow making a mess of the House, adding it would have been better if a report regarding the implementation of the consensus resolutions was tabled before the House prior to this PCNS report.Nisar said Deputy Air Chief and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani earlier gave statements regarding striking down the US unmanned planes, (if they venture attack on Pak soil).Will we backpedal from our standpoint after the recommendations are approved, Nisar wondered. He said drone strikes were halted for few months after Salala incident but it has now again resumed.
