Nawaz Sharif says Indian prime minister wanted to declare 1999 as the year of Kashmir resolution.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Chief Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that a band of conspirators attacked Kargil to foil his efforts to resolve the Kashmir issue.Addressing a public meeting in Kotli, Azad Kashmir, he said that the Kashmir issue would have been resolved had his efforts not been sabotaged.He said that the Indian prime minister had visited Pakistan after the nuclear blast and had asked him to declare 1999 as the year of Kashmir resolution.He said that everything was going in reverse gear in the country and he entered the arena to put things on right direction.Nawaz said that the country was passing through difficult times, but he would fight like a lion for the achievement of rights.He said there was time when Pakistan’s economy was growing faster than India, but now the security situation reached a point where police and military officials were being killed in bomb blasts.He said that he wanted to construct motorway in Azad Kashmir.
