Scientists introduce 'The denovoCast', a machine that produces sheets of skin.

(Web Desk) - The scientific community has stunned the world with another invention that could help many lives giving them the opportunity for the change they want. This time the scientists have presented a machine that makes new skin by producing large sheets of skin that could be grafted and this could serve in the treatment of people who have severe burns.

The skin grafting machine ‘The denovoCast’ works under the principle of growing patches the size of a dinner plate that could be used to repair damaged skin areas. While the produced skin grafts are made using a postage stamp-sized patch of the patient’s own healthy skin, taken from an undamaged area.

The overall methodology works by adding water-based gel and then the mixture goes into the machine with the addition of growth factors that are natural substances found in the body to stimulate new cell growth.

It takes the mixture four weeks so, to grow into large gel like sheets of skin that is up to 100 times bigger than the harvested area. After all the aforementioned procedure the produced sheets of skin are then finally grafted on the patient’s damaged skin with burns.

The denovoCast could be taken as a skin printing machine that serve in making a prominent difference in a person’s life.
