Two teams declared joint winners in National Kabaddi Championship finale

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Two teams were declared the joint winners in finale of National Kabaddi Championship.  The final match of the National Kabaddi Championship became controversial. The special guest Minister of State for Information Farrukh Habib went back without distributing the trophy.

According to details, the final match of National Kabaddi Championship was played between Pakistan WAPDA and Pakistan Air Force under the Kamyab Jawan Program in Lahore on Sunday.

Both the teams refused to play the match due to point’s dispute. The management declared team WAPDA as the champion. The points of WAPDA and PAF remained equal to 46 and 46 points. When jury announced to give final read to WAPDA, PAF refused to accept.

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) boycotted the decision and refused to come to the ground at the last minute.

The Pakistan Kabaddi Federation later changed its mind and declared the winner of the 42nd National Kabaddi Championship jointly between the two teams.

The trophy will remain with Pakistan WAPDA for 6 months and with Pakistan Air Force for 6 months.
