Six involved in Areeba's murder, brother wants body exhumed
Tooba, friends promised Areeba a modeling chance, killed her when she refused to obey, says brother
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Brother of the girl who was mysteriously murdered on Monday in Sherakot area of Lahore, has requested the police to exhume the body of his sister. The boy, Zohaib, claimed that the principal accused Tooba had promised Areeba a modeling chance but killed her when she refused to obey. He alleged that six people were involved in Areeba’s murder, reported Dunya News.
In his application, Zohaib has requested Areeba’s body to be exhumed so that it can be buried in her native town Sialkot. He also claimed that Tooba and her companions were professional criminals.
Police has started investigation in light of the statement given by Areeba’s brother.
On the other hand, police has prepared its initial report according to which there were no signs of torture found on the dead body. Report has not ruled out the possibility of the girl expiring due to excessive use of drugs.
Areeba’s body parts have been sent to forensic laboratory after postmortem. The real cause of death will be revealed after forensic laboratory’s report.
Police have been raiding various places for arresting Tooba’s aides. More facts may surface after their arrests.
