ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday ordered police not to harass the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidates and workers who are running election campaigns.

The order was issued during the hearing of PTI candidates Shoaib Shaheen and Ali Bukhari’s plea against stopping their election campaigns and harassment of workers.

Shaheen told Chief Justice Amir Farooq that police nabbed the PTI supporters and forced them to quit the party.

He said police called him and threatened him that a case would be filed against him if held a rally.

Ali Bukhari submitted that the PTI polling agents were being threatened to stay away.

Later, Chief Justice Farooq ordered the authorities to refrain from harassing the PTI workers.
