LAHORE (Web Desk/Dunya News) – PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Tuesday said the large rallies held by the party were a proof that the people knew that Nawaz Sharif – the party supremo who is seeking another mandate for a record fourth term in office – always fulfilled the promises he made.

The people experienced the consequences of the elder Sharif’s removal in 2017, she said, adding that hate and abuse was spread in the society after the move, which damaged the country.

Addressing a press conference at the PML-N headquarters at Model Town, Marriyum said the latest Transparency International report was negated the very people who raised the slogans of “thieves” and “dacoits”.

Promising to materialise the PML-N manifesto, the party spokesperson said the people would decide their future by exercising their right to vote, as she listed the highlights of the future programme, which she said, mentioned a clear line of action.

The PML-N would work on climate change, youth employment, skill development, gender, education, health, minorities’ rights and other subjects, Marriyum told reporters.

She said the voters would have to make a decision of cheaper gas and electricity as well as the party which had always delivered for them.

Nawaz neither resorted to the May9-like incidents nor attacked the police when summoned for accountability, Marriyum said with reference to the Panama Papers trial that led to his sentencing and disqualification, but has not been reversed.

“The PML-N is the only party whose three generations have faced accountability,” she noted.
