PHC pardons Fawad Ch, Firdous Ashiq Awan

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday withdrew contempt notice against Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry and former special assistant Firdous Ashiq Awan after they tendered an unconditional apology.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders had made the remarks during a press conference after former PHC chief justice Justice Seth issued a judgement sentencing former president Pervez Musharraf to death.

The contempt of court proceeding was held and the PTI leaders appeared before the court and submitted an unconditional apology to the court.

Justice Roohul Amin said the PTI leaders should also visit the grave of the deceased judge and apologise to him. The court, later, accepted their apology.
