History will record how Imran danced as our economy burns, he asserted.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari slammed the first budget for fiscal year 2019-20 of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led federal government saying it dismantles the economy of Pakistan.

PPP chairman expressed that opposition decided to give PTI-led government a chance but today’s session at National Assembly was just an unorganized meeting. He showed concerns for starting the meeting early, for not handing out the copies of Federal Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azhar’s speech and budget book to the opposition. “We still listened despite not receiving the copies of budget book or speech in the NA today”, he added.

Bilawal tweeted that Prime Minister Imran Khan watched the economy of Pakistan burn today as his ministers introduced a PTIMF budget that shows the increase in taxes, inflation and unemployment. “History will record how Imran danced as our economy burns”, he asserted.

Bilawal Bhutto alarmed about the tax section asserting that new budget was set by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which will bring a tsunami of taxes and inflation on the common people. “We will not let this budget pass in the parliament, we will protest this budget”, he added.

PPP chairman reiterated his demand for the resignation of Speaker and Deputy Speaker National Assembly for being impartial in the House. “We will even go to court, they are denying us of our right,” he expressed.

He further said that production orders were not issued to former president Asif Ali Zardari, MNA Ali Wazir, MNA Mohsin Dawar and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique.

Earlier today, PM Imran Khan‘s government vowed to collect more taxes and make cuts in spending in a closely watched budget presented to parliament, weeks after reaching a deal with the IMF for a $6 billion bailout.
