NAB Lahore raids Aleem Khan's office in Gulberg
NAB has accelerated their inquiry against Khan after the raid.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore chapter of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday raided the office of PTI leader Aleem Khan located in Gulberg area.
Details suggest that NAB officials have obtained information of Khan’s foreign bank accounts, Dubai flats, cheques and record of his more than dozen properties.
NAB has accelerated their inquiry against Khan after the raid.
Aleem Khan is in NAB custody in an assets disproportionate to his known sources of income and malpractices case. His physical remand was extended by the court on last hearing till March 5.
Accountability court judge Najam-ul-Hassan presided over hearing of the case while NAB prosecutor pleaded with the court for a 15-day extension in remand of Khan.
Khan’s defence counsel opposed another extension in his remand.
Subsequently after hearing arguments from both sides, the court sent Khan on an eight-day remand and ordered the NAB to produce him before the court on March 5.
On February 6, he was detained by the NAB while recording his statement in a case lined to an offshore company unveiled in the Panama Papers leaks.
