Power breakdown: Parts of Karachi plunge into darkness
Residents are facing severe distress due to this breakdown in electricity supply.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A sudden electricity breakdown in Karachi on Monday night plunged various areas of the city into darkness, Dunya News reported. The loss of electricity has been pointed to faults in transmission line.
The faults in transmission line terminated electricity supply to areas in the vicinity including North Karachi, Gulshan, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony and Liaquatabad.
Some areas of North Nazimabad, Azizabad and Defence are also without electricity. The power breakdown also hit some areas of Malir District and areas around Quaidabad, Shah Latif and Steel Mills.
Residents are facing severe distress due to this breakdown in electricity supply. A spokesman of K-Electric stated that the technical problems will be resolved quickly after which the electricity supply will be restored.
