Power shortfall reaches 6,510MW
In Lahore the demand of electricity is 5000MW while the production is 4400MW
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Following the tripping in various cities including Lahore, Islamabad, the power shortfall has reached 6,510 megawatt.
The overall demand of electricity is 24,760MW while the production is 18,250MW.
The residents of Lahore are facing a huge shartfall as the demand of electricity is 5000MW while the production is 4400MW due to which several areas of Lahore are undergoing three to six hours of announced loadshedding.
In Islamabad, a major power crisis hit Islamabad’s Shadra, Bari Imam, Siri Chakok, Angori and surrpunding areas for more than six hours forcing people to bear the hot and humid conditions.
As per details, a technical fault occurred in the Bahara Kahu’s 220KV grid station.
