ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday wrote a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Hasan Askari asking him to direct Punjab police to initiate investigation into the matter of stopping the election rally of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Uch Sharif.

According to the statement, it is also demanded to send report over this issue to ECP and if the claim is proved, take action against responsible officers.

PPP claimed that IG Punajb, DPO and DSP Bahawalpur stopped the election rally due to some alleged political connections of DIG Bahawalpur, the letter reads.
