Security institutions will not disappoint people of Pakistan: Army chief

Army chief has said that the security agencies are working to restore peace in the country.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday said that the Security institutions will not disappoint people of Pakistan. The army chief said that our enemies would run out of their bullets but not the chests of our soldiers who will continue to offer sacrifices for the country.

During his speech after flag-hoisting ceremony at the Wagah border, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the security agencies are working to restore peace in the country and added that the terrorists would be eliminated.

General Bajwa said that the country is progressing on the path of the law and the constitution today and all the institutions are working properly. "We will make Pakistan the country of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal", he said.

The army chief said that the country founded on the 27th of the Holy month of Ramazan could not be defeated. "We shall restore peace, rule of law whatever sacrifices it may cost. No threat can deter resolve of a united and resilient nation", COAS said.

General Bajwa said that we have rendered many sacrifices and we will never forget our martyrs. We will execute each and every terrorist in Pakistan.

Earlier, Pakistan Army Chief hoisted the world’s eighth highest and South Asia’s highest flag at Wagah border to kick off the festivities of Independence Day across the country.

Made in Pakistan national flag was hoisted on a 400-feet pole and 120 feet by 80 feet in size.
