In a presser, Sanaullah Zehri defended PM Nawaz Sharif saying he has public mandate

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Balochistan CM Sanaullah Zehri has rejected the report of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) for Panama case, adding that the findings were incomplete and the JIT misused its power.

In a press conference on Monday, Zehri dismissed the Panama JIT report and defended Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif saying he has public mandate. He accused the members of JIT of misusing their power and called their report incomplete. “How did the JIT compile 200 pages report within 60 days?” he asked.

Balochistan CM warned that the behaviour of opposition political parties posed a threat to the country’s democracy, institutions and judiciary.

While defending the PM, he said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the parties in alliance believe in supremacy of the constitution. He said, “JIT report is a conspiracy against PM Nawaz.”

He admired the role of certain political parties in saving and running the system. “We await the final verdict of Supreme Court,” he said.
