Jirga orders couple to leave city in seven days after paying Rs1 mn fine
Police have claimed that they are completely unaware of this incident.
SADIQABAD (Dunya News) – A Jirga in Sadiqabad has fined one million rupees to a couple over their love marriage, and directed them to leave the city in seven days.
According to details, the incident took place in Chak No. 146, the suburb of Sadiqabad, where Javaid and Nusrat performed love marriage.
When Nusrat’s family members came to know about this, they went to the influential people of the area and called a jirga.
The couple told that jirga gave them seven days to pay one million rupees, and to leave the city afterwards otherwise they would be murdered.
On one hand, the couple is striving to save their lives, and on the other hand police are completely unaware of this incident.
The officials of Sadar police station told that the victims have not contacted them as yet, and they will take action if any complaint is lodged in the police station.
