Hot weather exposed tall govt claims about electricity production as short fall increases

RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Shortfall has on Saturday risen to 4270 mega watts while the load shedding has risen to 6 to 12 hours in the country. Tall government claims about the electricity production lay exposed as soon as the temperatures have gone up, reported Dunya News.

The load shedding wreaked havoc in Rawalpindi city and Cantonment areas throughout the day. Water supply remained disrupted in Sadiqabad, Airport Society, Gawalmandi and other areas throughout the day.

The electricity shortfall was 2867 mega watts on April 30 but the rising temperatures in May have increased the shortfall by 1403 mega watts.
