ATC orders to arrest Altaf through Interpol
Court directs the investigation officer to contact interior ministry.
KARACHI (Daily Dunya) - An anti-terrorism court on Thursday directed the investigation officer to appraoch Interpol for arrest of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder Altaf Hussain.
Court also directed the investigation officer to contact interior ministry for issuance of red warrants against Altaf on charges of provocative speeches, treason and slogans against state’s sovereignty.
The order was issued after the investigation officer informed the judge that arrest order could not implemented against the accused as he was living in London.
ATC also voiced displeasure over non-arrest of other absconding accused and issued non-bailable warrants against them.
Meanwhile, the ATC reserved verdict on bail plea of Shahid Pasha and other party leaders.
