Saved Rs 112 billion in three power projects, claims Punjab CM

Shehbaz Sharif said that people who chanted slogans for Pakistan gave us load shedding crisis

BALLOKI (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif visited the Balloki Gas Power Plant near Pattoki on Wednesday. The plant was started in 2015 and will yield 2312 megawatts energy, reported Dunya News.

The project is all set to contribute electricity in the national grid by 2018 while much of the construction is completed including installation of transformers, radiators and civil works.

Punjab CM said that they will not only complete the project before deadline but also a save crucial amount investment on it. While talking to media, Shehbaz Sharif got emotional and blamed previous leaders for energy crisis.

Punjab CM enchanted slogans with the plant workers and announced that a reward will be granted from provincial government and federal government to laborers for early completion of project.

The Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) was also slammed by Punjab CM at the occasion. He blamed PTI for conducting sit-ins in 2014 and calling Islamabad lockdown afterwards which severely affected the country. He promised that load shedding will be ended by 2018.

Moreover, Shehbaz Sharif claimed that they had saved Rs 112 billion in three energy projects. He suggested that the country was looted with both hands during Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project. “Dictator who used to say  Pakistan first  caused harm to country”, he said.

“Mutual consensus of provinces on Kalabagh Dam will prove beneficial”, Shehbaz Sharif said while indicating to the historical significance of the dam.

Punjab CM expressed faith in courts while talking about Panama Leaks case in Supreme Court. “We’re not Niazi Sahab who doesn’t admit if decision comes against him”, he claimed.
