Army Chief emphasises 'more work to achieve final objective'
Militancy, terrorism international problems, he said
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday said that the operation against terrorism was not yet over, adding that there’s more work to do to achieve the final objective of peaceful and prosperous Pakistan, Dunya News reported.
Addressing at Command and Staff College here, the army chief said that extremism and terrorism were an international problem, adding that Pakistan was determined to fight the war against militancy and terrorism.
He said that the army was not there yet as far as the final goals of the battle were concerned and that more work was yet to be done.
General Sharif said that the Pakistan army was now carrying out intelligence and combing operations after the practical operation. He said no army in the world was ever able to face challenges as tactfully as Pakistan was doing.
He further said that he was proud to have command of an army like that of Pakistan.
