Nepra approves five-year power tariff for Lesco

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – For the first time, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Wednesday approve five-year tariff for the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), Dunya News reported.

The regulatory authority used to revise power tariff annually but this time it has approved the tariff for next five years. 

According to sources, under the new plan, power tariff will be reduced for domestic consumers by Rs1.15 to Rs2 per unit, Rs1.95 per unit for commercial and Rs1.85 per unit reduction is likely for industrial sector.

Authorities reported that Nepra has the right to adjust Lesco’s tariff on annual basis.
