Petrol price reduced by remarkable Rs 8 per litre, CNG by Rs 7/kg

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Petrol and compressed natural gas (CNG) prices have been reduced by remarkable Rs 8 per litre and Rs 7 per kilogram (Kg), Dunya News reported Tuesday.
The revised prices came in effect on Monday midnight.
The government on February 29 announced to reduce petrol price by Rs 8 per litre, a positive development for the anticipating public.
Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif approved the reduction after which diesel price is cut by Rs 4.5 per litre and petrol by Rs 8 per litre.
The revised prices have set the total at Rs 62.77 per litre for petrol while at Rs 71.12 for high speed diesel
The price of high octane has also been reduced by Rs 3 per litre while the PM rejected recommendation seeking reduction in kerosene oil price.
On Friday, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had forwarded a summary to the Prime Minister recommending Rs. 8.48 per litre cut in petrol price for the March.
On the other hand, All-Pakistan Compressed Natural Gas Association’s chairman Ghayas Paracha said that gas prices have been revised in Punjab, Potohar and Islamabad.
CNG was available at Rs 55 per litre rate in Punjab before revision.
