As per family sources, Musharraf suffered from a heart attack

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former president Pervez Musharraf has been discharged after his condition improved following treatment at PNS Shifa hospital, Dunya News reported.

As per family sources, Musharraf suffered from a heart attack after which he fainted and fell down.

Musharraf was earlier shifted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at PNS Shifa hospital after his condition got critical.

Earlier, he was rushed to PNS Shifa hospital on Thursday after his health deteriorated.

According to details, Musharraf was at his home sitting with family when he fainted. He has been taken to PNS Shifa Hospital amid tight security.

Reportedly, a team of doctors examined the former military dictator and was given the best treatment possible.

As per the hospital sources, various tests for heart conditions were taken while at the ICU and the medical board had been called keeping in view Musharraf’s condition.

The sources said former president’s condition has improved relatively and therefore been discharged from hospital. The doctors have advised the former president to stay at home and take rest.

Musharraf, 72, has had health issues before as well. In 2014, he was taken to hospital for a heart condition the day he was due to appear in court.
