Ahad Butt, resident of Raj Garh met Amna Malik on Facebook around two years back. Malik had successfully ventured into online marketing business. She convinced Butt to invest in marketing as well.

The business was going just fine however, Malik had asked Butt to lend her some money from time to time. The total money lent was around Rs 12 lac. Upon asking her to return the money, Malik handed over a car to her Facebook friend and assured him of registering it by his name within some days.

She had mentioned Faiz Ali Syed Gilani, her uncle who allegedly was a custom judge in the federal capital. She told Butt to accept the car as payment for the money he had lent her. The alleged custom judge would have the car registered by his name, she added.

Seeing the matter going nowhere after some days, Butt insisted on registration of the vehicle as soon as possible however, she gave him three cheques and got the car back.

Little did Butt know that there was no money in Malik’s bank account.

The entire con unfolded before the victimized ‘friend’ after all the three cheques bounced. Butt had filed a case in Islampura Police Station in January.
