Muslim countries should play their role in toning down situation in Middle East, says Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Sunday said that Pakistan wants the Saudi-Iran conflict to be resolved through dialogue. He said that the Muslim countries must play their role in toning down the situation in the Middle East, reported Dunya News.

Saudi Defence Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman came to Pakistan today and held meetings with civil-military leadership here. Pakistani leadership told him that Saudi Arabia is highly important to Pakistan and any threat to Saudi Arabia will meet a strong reaction from Pakistan.

As Saudi Defence Minister arrived at PM House in Islamabad today, PM came out of his office to receive him. Both the leaders discussed the regional situation and the Middle East situation in the light of Saudi-Iran conflict. PM said that he wanted the conflict to be resolved through dialogue. Prince Muhammad bin Salman said on this occasion that Pakistan always helped Saudi Arabia in the hour of need and Saudi Arabia values its relationship with Pakistan.

Saudi Defence Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman met General Raheel Sharif at General Head-Quarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. Prince Muhammad bin Salman said on this occasion that Saudi Arabia will support Pakistan on every matter.

Saudi Defence Minister was welcomed earlier today at Noor Khan Airbase by Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Foreign Advisor Sartaj Aziz and military officials. Prince Muhammad bin Salman went straight to GHQ from the airbase and met General Raheel Sharif.

General Sharif said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share exemplary relations and any threat posed at Saudi Arabia will meet a strong reaction from Pakistan.

Saudi Defence Minister said that Pakistan is highly important for Saudi Arabia and it appreciates Pakistan’s efforts for ensuring regional security. He said that Saudi Arabia puts Pakistan and its army in high esteem. He announced support for Pakistan in all matters.
