JUI-F workers also protested in Larkana, Sukkur and Hyderabad.

(Dunya News) – Sindh government on Saturday has assured the protesting workers of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) to send Dr Khalid Soomro murder case to military courts in next ten days.

According to a written agreement, the authorities have satisfied the protesting JUI-F leaders and pledged to meet their reservations.

Workers of JUI-F staged a protest in Larkana, Sukkur and Hyderabad, demanding to include the murder case of Dr Khalid Soomro in military courts.

The activists protested in Kandhkot for not sending Soomro’s murder case to military courts. The workers blocked main roads by burning tyres and chanted slogans against the government.

In Jacobabad, dozens of JUI-F supportors took to the streets and staged a sit-in on key road linking Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan. They said that the federation should take action for resolving the Dr Khalid Soomro case.

Separately in Larkana, the followers of JUI-F under Rashid Soomro’s supervision also came out of their houses for the same purpose. The protest badly affected the traffic.

Dr Khalid Soomro was JUI-F’s former general secretary and was gunned down by armed men while he was offering Fajr prayers in Jamia Haqania situated in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Sukkur, on November 19, 2014.
