By-election: Polling underway in PS-67 Mirpur Khas
There are over 137,000 registered voters in the constituency.
UMERKOT (Web Desk) - Polling for by-election in PS-67 constituency of Mirpur Khas is underway. Voting process will continue till 5:00 pm without any interruption.
Ten candidates, including Noor Ahmed Bhargari of PPP, Ghulam Qadir Mangrio of PML-F, and Ejaz Qaimkhani of MQM are contesting the election.
There are over one hundred and thirty-seven thousand registered voters in the constituency.
The seat had fallen vacant after death of PPP MPA Jameel Bhurgari who had defeated Mir Janullah Khan Talpur of the PML-F in May 2013 general elections.
Jameel Bhurgari had secured 49222 votes while Janullah Khan Talpur was runner-up candidate with 18349 votes.
