JI chief says ancestors laid their lives for Islam; PM deviated from Muslim League's manifesto

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq has on Thursday said that by talking about a ‘liberal’ Pakistan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has deviated from the path of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal. He said that the founding fathers of the country had laid their lives for Islam and a prosperous Pakistan but PM has not only deviated from the path of Quaid and Iqbal but also from the manifesto of Muslim League, reported Dunya News.

Talking to Talent Expo organized at Expo Center Karachi by Islami Jamiat Tulaba (or Organization of Islamic Students), JI head said that Jamiat has always safeguarded Pakistan and the ideology of Pakistan. “By talking about a ‘liberal’ Pakistan, PM Nawaz left the path of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal”, said Siraj. He warned that those trying to rid the Muslims of an Islamic character will perish.

“We want a prosperous Pakistan where there is a uniform system of education and justice available to everyone”, said Siraj.

Talking on this occasion, JI Karachi Head Hafiz Naeem ur-Rehman said that the party will bring back the real identity of Karachi. He told the students to spread the message of prosperity and change to every household.

Position holders and prominent students from all fields were also given prizes at the end of the ceremony.
